From the Fabuplus Magazine blog!

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, La’Toya Nicole is a model, makeup artist, choreographer, and college educator. La‘Toya has been modeling for twenty-two years starting with teen modeling with Mary Kay Cosmetics. In 1999 she was featured in the Phenomenon Calendar, a calendar based on Maya Angelo’s poem Phenomenal Woman. At this point La’Toya fell in love with modeling and now at the age of 45 she continues her modeling career. She’s been featured in over 50 magazines, not just as model but also as makeup artist and stylist. She’s also modeled for clothing brands like Ashley Stewart, Macy’s, New York and Company,  and Simply 10. In addition to her work in front of the camera La’Toya is a model coach and an ambassador for Atlanta Curve Weekend 2022, Curvicality Magazine, and The José Pagãn Photo Tour.

La’Toya describes her personal style as “Sexy Somewhat Conservative Southern Belle with a Pinch of Dramatic Unique Flare.” Saying she’s always a “sucker” for a dress especially if “it’s sexy, fits her curves and shows some cleavage.”

Despite her already long list of accomplishments La’Toya has just as many goals for her modeling career. With goals to be in the cover of prominent plus size magazines, Fabuplus, Queen Size Magazine, Faschic Magazine, Vivyd, and Size Overrated, to name a few. She also hopes to be featured in advertisements for Fashion Nova, Torrid,  Lane Bryant,  Target and more. La’Toya also hopes to break barriers and be on the covers of traditionally straight size magazines like Vogue and In-Style.

La’Toya is certainly on her way to her hopes with the amazing things she has upcoming for her modeling. She was recently given the title of Brand Ambassador for Atlanta Curve Weekend, and is looking forward to the festivities of that weekend which is July 29th – July 31st. In September, La’Toya will be responsible for making sure that Birmingham, Alabama brings all the “fire, smoke, and heat” to the Annual José Pagan Photo Tour, as his Birmingham, Alabama Ambassador for the second year in a row. Birmingham was crowned “Best Tour” by both of his media sponsors, Curvicality Magazine and Queen Size Magazine.

La’Toya Nicole has made her mark in the modeling world and will continue to as she strives for her goals. When asked what message she would like to leave the readers with, La’Toya said “When days seem dark and all hope is gone, just always remember that there is always tomorrow. The pain, hurt, and despair may not feel any less than it did the day before; but know that you have yesterday and its events behind you.  You are walking towards your greater.”
